Bikers are sometimes mean and scary looking and because of their rough, tough look, there are many misconceptions about them that go around from one person to another. These myths are so common that everyone’s heard them and many people believe them to be true. Are you one of those people? Some of the most common myths about bikers:
Bikers use Drugs
There are probably bikers who use drugs, but we’ve not conducted any polls lately. What we do know without the need to take a survey is that not all biers out there use drugs and the likelihood is greater that most aren’t drug users.
Bikers are Mean
Bikers can be tough if they want to be and they don’t mind sending that impression. What’s better than being the tough guy? But inside the hard outer shell, most hikers are really nice people with big hearts who’d give you the motorcycle gear off their backs if you asked!
They Like Violence
This goes hand in hand with the myth that bikers are mean. Again, it is a myth and you shouldn’t believe that bikers like violence. They’ll handle business is someone tries to make trouble, but it is not what they go around looking for. They do not incite violence nor do they encourage it from anyone.
Bikers are Dirty
This is definitely a myth! Bikers take showers just like you and I and they even have their favorite soaps and shampoos! Bikers wash their clothes and shave their beards, too. Bikers aren’t dirty people!
Bikers are Criminals
Like drug use, there are probably some criminals in the mix of bikers. It is inevitable, in fact. But, don’t believe that all bikers do is sit around planning and committing crimes because this is not true. Most bikers are hard workers Monday through Friday and hit their bike on the weekends.
